Lyon Real Estate Donates 2,593 New Coats in 10th-Annual Coat Drive

Lyon Real Estate is pleased to announce the 10th-Annual Coat Drive has concluded, seeing a total of 2,593 brand new coats, scarves, hats and more collected in 2020. Since the inception in 2010, Lyon agents, employees and the public have donated 72,869 coats to local organizations in the Sacramento region.

While COVID-19 has changed its collecting strategies, the Lyon offices came together to keep up the generosity and help those in need by collecting new items to donate to more than 20 local nonprofits. Each of Lyon’s 16 sales offices plus the corporate office spread the word to ensure the yearly impact for those in need.

“We are proud of the Lyon team’s determination to collect, gather and donate coats each October to their community,” said Pat Shea, Lyon president. “Through their efforts, many locals will be able to experience the gift of warm winter clothing this winter.”

This year, Lyon will be giving to more 20 local organizations, some of which include Loaves & Fishes, WEAVE, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, St. John’s Program for Real Change, and Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center, among many others.
