Dunsmuir

Considered one of the most picturesque small towns in Northern California, Dunsmuir sits at the base of Mt. Shasta. Calistoga

With its rolling vineyards and world-renowned wineries, Calistoga is usually considered an adults-only destination. But there are plenty of family-friendly activities here that often get overlooked. For starters, Safari West is just minutes away, where you can see giraffes, zebras, and other African animals. They even offer overnight stays in luxury tents imported from Botswana! Another fun attraction for kids in Calistoga is Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts several times an hour. There’s also an animal farm and picnic grounds onsite. Morro Bay
