Where to Take Photos with the Easter Bunny Near Sacramento

Holiday photos are a tradition for many families. In fact, there’s no better way to capture the joy of childhood than with professional photos during the holiday season. And although Christmas is the most common holiday for family photos, Easter comes in at a close second. There’s nothing more adorable than the little ones dressed up in their Sunday best, the Easter Bunny by their side, surrounded by colorful dyed eggs, spring blossoms, and maybe a carrot or two.

If you’re hoping to capture all the memories of the Easter season, consider having photos taken with the Easter Bunny. There are several spots throughout the Sacramento area where you can do just that. Some are even part of larger celebrations complete with egg hunts and candy-filled baskets. Following are some options.

Hoppin’ & Huntin’ at Hagan | Rancho Cordova

This annual event at Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova is one of the biggest around. There’s a massive egg hunt for the kids, all types of fun activities, a pancake breakfast, and of course, photos with the Easter Bunny! The event will be held 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on March 23, with a pancake breakfast from 10–11:30 a.m. 

Busy Kids | Various Locations

With locations in both Folsom and Roseville, this indoor play place is known for its imaginative setups and hands-on activities (not to mention an onsite coffee shop for mom & dad). They are hosting an egg hunt on March 28 in Folsom, complete with photos with the Easter Bunny. Can’t make it? You can also schedule a home visit with the Easter Bunny, available March 25–31 in neighborhoods throughout the region. 

Baskets & Bunnies | El Dorado Hills

It’s a full day of Easter fun at the El Dorado Hills Town Center on March 24! There’ll be Easter baskets for the kids, face painting, music, games and a magic show. Best of all, Charm Photography is offering photos with the Easter Bunny. If you’re unable to attend

d the event, you can schedule a time that works for you; the Easter Bunny will be available at Charm Photography’s studio (also at the El Dorado Town Center) from March 24–31.

River Fox Train | West Sacramento

“Hop” aboard the River Fox Train in West Sacramento to meet the Easter Bunny on the rails! This special excursion includes an egg hunt at a private riverside park, kid-friendly activities and of course, visits from the bunny. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase on the train. The 1-hour rides will be available weekends through March.

Breakfast with the Bunny | Davis

This annual event, sponsored by the Davis Odd Fellows, welcomes families for a casual breakfast alongside the Easter Bunny! Scheduled for March 30, the event also includes hands-on activities, carnival games and more. And, of course, you can have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny himself!

Arden Fair Mall | Sacramento

If you’re in the Arden-Arcade area, you can head to Arden Fair Mall to take pictures with the Easter Bunny. He’ll be available daily through March 30, and you can book your session in advance to avoid the crowds or just pop in whenever it’s convenient. 

Easter Eggstravaganza | Fair Oaks

Bring the whole family to this fun event in Fair Oaks! Scheduled for March 20 from 9 a.m.–noon, the event features an egg hunt, hands-on crafts, petting zoo and more. There’s even an egg hunt for teens and adults! Best of all, you can take your picture with the Easter Bunny for free (though you can pay a small fee ahead of time to skip the line). 

Roseville Galleria | Roseville

Another option for a mall visit with the Easter Bunny is at the Roseville Galleria, available now through March 30. You can reserve your spot ahead of time or just drop in. They also offer a special “pet party” on March 11 and March 18 where you can dress up your furry friend in Easter regalia ( bunny ears) and capture the adorable moment. And, if you have a child with sensory issues, you can come on March 17 for a special photo experience with reduced lighting and music and a specially trained bunny who supports those with special needs. 

Sunrise Mall | Citrus Heights

From March 8–30, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights for fun visits and photo ops. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sundays 12–6. You can just show up or reserve your space in advance.
