Sacramento-Area Women on Instagram You Should Follow

March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the contributions that women have made to American history, culture and society. There is no shortage of notable women to celebrate from the greater Sacramento area, from director Greta Gerwig to journalist Lisa Ling. There are also thousands of women who are making their mark on the region by sharing their stories via Instagram and other social media channels. There are plenty of Sacramento-area Instagrammers to follow, but for the month of March, we’d like to focus on women! Following are Sacramento-area women you should follow on Instagram.

Maddy Eccles is a local creator (and photographer) who shares her passion all things local — especially food! Her feed is filled with ideas for fun things to do in the Sacramento area, including great restaurants to try. She also co-hosts the show “Maddy & Dixie Take Sactown” on the Very Local streaming channel.

Maddy & Dixie Take Sactown” co-host Dixie Deets is a proud food lover who loves sharing stories about the food scene in the Sacramento area. She is passionate about storytelling through food and regularly shares her experience trying out different spots. Her tastes run the gamut, from fast-food to formal. She also posts about her food travels around the world.
