Where to Ring in the New Year in the Greater Sacramento Area

This post has been updated for 2023.

As 2022 comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about the year ahead. But before we make our resolutions and goals for 2023, we should think about how to ring in the new year! New Year’s Eve is a chance for us to say goodbye to the past and hello to the future. While many people choose to stay in and celebrate with a glass of bubbly at the stroke of midnight, many others choose to go out on the town and celebrate in style! If you’re one of the latter, there are plenty of spots around the greater Sacramento area to ring in the new year. Following are some ideas.

Hosted by the family-run Canto Ao Vinho winery in Rocklin, this event features a taco feast in the wine cellar followed by live music by Merry Mac at 7 p.m. New Year’s will be celebrated at New York City time – 9 p.m.
