The Best Mother’s Day Brunch in the Sacramento Area — Takeout Edition

Mother’s Day and brunch seem to go hand-in-hand. And while a leisurely brunch out is off the table this year (pun intended), you can still treat Mom to a special meal. Many restaurants in and around the greater Sacramento area are offering special takeout menus this Mother’s Day for curbside pickup or delivery, so you can celebrate mom while keeping social distancing mandates in place. And don’t worry — you can still get all the goodies you’d expect at a sit-down brunch, from bacon and eggs to quiche and scones. Some even have mimosas to go! But act fast — many restaurants require you to pre-order your food, and time is running out!

Camden Spit & Larder | Downtown

Camden Spit & Larder is a stylish eatery in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. This Mother’s Day, they’re offering a special to-go brunch box, which includes creme brulee French toast, berry granola parfait, asparagus and goat cheese quiche, smoked salmon or breakfast burritos. You can also add a bottle of vodka and bloody Mary mix to complete your brunch! Pickup is from 9 a.m.–11 a.m. on Sunday, but you must order by Thursday, May 7.

Midtown‘s Hook & Ladder is a sleek eatery known for its craft cocktails and farm-inspired menu. They’ve created a special menu just for Mother’s Day, which you pick up ahead of time and reheat at home. The menu includes a bacon avocado casserole, baked apple french toast and sides like scones and sausage. Mother’s Day dinner is also offered, and includes braised short rib and cioppino. You can also grab a bottle of rosé or cocktail kit to go with your meal, with options like a hibiscus mule and strawberry French 75. The deadline to order is Thursday, May 7, with pickup on Saturday between 4–8 p.m.

Taylor’s Kitchen | Land Park

Taylor’s Kitchen in Sacramento’s Land Park neighborhood is known for its refined, farm-to-table cuisine, as well as its adjacent gourmet market. For Mother’s Day, they are offering a special brunch menu that features quiche (Lorraine or vegetable), raspberry chocolate bread pudding, and a selection of sides. They even have a Mother’s Day dinner to go, which includes leg of lamb, roasted chicken or filet mignon with prawns. Hours for pickup are 9 a.m.–2 p.m. and you must order in advance.

They’re open 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. for curbside pickup or delivery through DoorDash or Postmates

Soloman’s Delicatessen | Downtown

Another Downtown Sacramento eatery, Soloman’s Delicatessen, is also getting in on the Mother’s Day Brunch game. Though known for its hearty sandwiches, Soloman’s is offering a special Mother’s Day Brunch Bag, which includes bagels, schmear, and housemade rye whiskey strawberry jam. You can also order mimosas and bloody Marys! You can order now for pickup on Sunday.
