Some allow you to browse the aisles (staying six feet apart, of course) while others offer curbside pickup for online orders. El Dorado Nursery in Shingle Springs is open and they have everything you need to make your garden grow. It’s a full-service garden center with trees, shrubs, perennials and a large selection of terra cotta and ceramic planters. They also have organic and heirloom vegetable starts grown locally at Belly Rub Farms in Loomis.

This urban nursery in North Oak Park specializes in certified-organic seeds, soil, pesticides, fertilizers and vegetable starts. The have everything from chicken coops to terrarium supplies. They also have a large selection of colorful, fragrant roses. They are open daily, with social distancing guidelines in place. They also have no-contact curbside pickup and delivery to the surrounding area.


Redwood Barn Nursery | Davis

The independent, family-owned Redwood Barn Nursery in Davis has every imaginable addition to your garden. Fancy a fern? Craving a cactus? Vying for vines? They have all of the above, plus houseplants, vegetables, fruit trees and flowers. They also have their own radio program, the Davis Garden Show. You can shop in-person or schedule free delivery for your items.
