Summer Concerts Keep Sacramento Dancing

There are so many things to look forward to in the summer it’s hard to keep track of them all. One thing locals can count on throughout the year is an eclectic line-up of top-notch music. From local bands to international headliners, Sacramento offers it all.

Local parks serve as stages for great warm-weather beats. The Concerts in the Park series at downtown’s Cesar Chavez Park brings music lovers out ever Friday night through July 24. It’s been around more than 20 years, making it the city’s longest-running, outdoor music festival and attracts more than 5,500 fans every week.

Fair Oaks’ Concerts in the Parks take place every Thursday night through August 27 at the Village Park.

City of Trees is bound to become a huge event. This inaugural festival takes place August 15 at Gibson Ranch Regional Park. Presented by Radio 94.7 and Budweiser, the lineup features Cake, Of Monsters and Men, James Bay, and Elle King.

Other options run the gamut from small venues to big-ticket concerts, featuring everything from urban, world, and country, to all ‘80s and rock legends. Below is a sampling of the sounds to be heard throughout the Sacramento area this summer.
