East Sac’s Liquidology Gives New Meaning to Fast Food
If you’re like me, there aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish all that needs to be done. It’s rare that I have time to sit down for a healthy meal, especially for lunch. Instead, I tend to grab something quickly while on the go.
That’s why I’m thrilled with the opening of Liquidology Bar in East Sac on 46th and H Street. Finally, a healthy, convenient, and (yes!) fast alternative that is kind to your waistline and great for your wellbeing.
Liquidology specializes in cold-pressed beverages made from fresh organic, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Why cold-pressed? This is the best method to retain vital enzymes and phytonutrients.
The menu is fun and funky. Patrons order at the “bar” and have their pick of Over the Rainbow, Pistol Pete, Greenie in a Bottle and many more.
My favorite is the Bottle Rocket, which contains watermelon, lemon and a touch of cayenne to give it a little kick. Large juices are under $10.
Only one negative – I tried the Kale Chips on my last visit. They were awful – actually, beyond awful. I’ll stick to the juices.
