Lyon Cares Awards Support Local Non-Profits
Nonprofits dedicated to ending domestic violence, fighting hunger and inspiring young people recently received support through Lyon Real Estate’s annual Lyon Cares Awards, which awarded a total of $10,000 to three regional charities.
Each year, Lyon Real Estate’s network of 950 agents throughout the four-county Sacramento region are invited to nominate and vote on nonprofits to receive Lyon Cares Awards.
This year, A Community for Peace received the top $5,000 donation to help support its mission to provide free counseling and shelter to victims of domestic violence. St. Joseph Parish Charities, which helps low-income families with services such as a mobile mall and food locker, received $3,000 through Lyon Cares. The Boys and Girls Club of Placer County received $2,000.
“There were an especially large number of nominations from agents this year, and that’s a reflection of Lyon Real Estate’s culture of community engagement,” said Lyon Real Estate President and COO Pat Shea. “Success is a lot of different things, but an important part is recognizing how it enables you to help strengthen your community.”
